Vogue Italia celebrates plus size women with a trio of curvaceous models for their June cover.
“Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine.” - Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.
While I agree that all women can be “especially beautiful,” I do not agree that a body makes you more or less feminine. The fat grrrl in me is pleased with this article (except that little bit about “don’t buy leggings”) while the queer/feminist side is a little irked at the choice of words.
